FOBEV is an independent Chinese vehicle export intermediary headquartered in Shanghai. We're backed by a Fengxian-district 4S dealer partner with over a decade of retail experience, and our core team has been exporting cars since before BYD had a global footprint.

What we actually do

Three things, mainly.

We aggregate demand that factories can't

If you want to buy three Zeekr 001s for a dealership in Bangladesh, the factory won't talk to you. They're optimized for moving container ships of cars to regional distributors. We take the small orders — one unit, five units, twenty units — and make them work.

We handle the paperwork that kills small imports

Export-spec preparation, manufacturer certificates, pre-shipment inspection, homologation documentation, bill of lading coordination, port loading scheduling. A first-time importer doesn't know what they don't know. We've done it enough times to have templates.

We route around the constraints

China's vehicle export regulations for dealer-channel cars have tightened. New rules apply to how domestic-market vehicles can be exported, and for some brands — including Geely's own Zeekr — the factory actively polices grey-market flows. We operate within the legal framework: licensed export partners, proper documentation, compliant channels. But we know which doors are open and which are closing, and we route accordingly.

Who we're not for

• Retail end-buyers importing one car for personal use — we quote but the paperwork overhead usually makes this unattractive
• Buyers looking for grey-market ultra-discounts through questionable channels — we don't do that
• Markets with full factory-direct presence — if BYD has an official distributor in your country, buy from them

Our base

Shanghai Fengxian District. Near the Yangshan Deep Water Port. Our partner 4S dealership covers Geely Group brands (Geely, Zeekr, Lynk & Co, Galaxy) — but our export desk sources from the wider Chinese OEM ecosystem through trusted supply relationships.

We're a small team. That's deliberate. A bigger operation would need to process bigger deals, which would push us back toward the factory-direct customers who are already well served. Staying small lets us keep serving the one-truckload dealer and the fifteen-unit fleet buyer.
